Fall is one of the most beautiful times to travel to Boston! With the leaves changing, college students back in town, and cooler evening temperatures, there’s a wonderful energy about the city. We have plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to cozy up in when the days get colder.

The best way to see Boston is by foot, and we’ve been rated as one of the best walking cities in the country. When you stroll through the city you’ll see many historical buildings and landmarks and vibrant neighborhoods. In the fall we love to walk by the Charles River, and ghost tours by foot through the Boston Common tend to be very popular as well.

To help you get inspired for upcoming travels during the season, we’re sharing some of our favorite shots from local instagrammers! These locals scout some of the best places in the city so spend your fall days, and we highly recommend giving each of them a follow so you can do additional trip research. Here are 10 fall photos that make us excited for the beauty of the upcoming season!
